This time last week I was on a plane to Barcelona (unsuccessfully trying to fall asleep, I may add)...Time has already gone by so fast. I met up with Ellen, one of the lovely girls I have been corresponding with on facebook, at the airport and from there we took a taxi to Midori's cousin's piso in Barcelona. Maité lives right near la Sagrada Familia with her novio. They were both sooo incredibly nice and warm!! I could not tell you how much I appreciated Maité for letting two strangers stay in her house, and for Midori setting all of it up. Ellen and I met up with two other girls from the program, Becca and Clarissa, and we walked all up, down, and through Barcelona.
In a nutshell, it was instant love.

Barcelona was absolutely amazing, it had such a creative pulse that flowed through everything from its architecture to the people living there. Antoni Gaudi is the creator of many breathtaking, unique structures - Parc Güell, Sagrada Familia, el Hotel...El Parc was my favorite, hands down

This was the ceiling undernearth the famous bench that was held up by columns, a full picture will show what it looked like. I laid right underneath this beautiful tiled circle and just felt so happy. I will post more later but this is all I have time for now...
