Bon día a todos!
I am writing from my new piso that is amazing!! Palma is beautiful, it is so nice to be out of s'Arenal, what Ellen and I called "german town" because of sooo many German tourists!! The piso has everything from kitchen appliances to linen, and the couple we are renting it from are so kind, they raised their family in this piso and just want it to be taken care of. I'm living with three other auxiliares all from America, all wonderful ladies (Ellen, Laura, y Patty). Annnd possibly more exciting news is that I finally got a bike!!

We went to Carrefour yesterday (huuuuge megastore que tiene TODO, imagine something like Target and Walmart or Costco combined!) and I found this bici on promoción for only 99 Euro, marked down from 160 I believe. Originally I was going to buy a used bike for less, but I figure this is a great investment since I will be here for so many months and I can sell it before I go. I'm going to make an adjustment on it here and there and go for a 22+ mile bike ride along el mediterráneo :). Hmm what else is new? Last night was the first night I went dancing in Spain and it was amazing! We were out until 4am just going from club to club, I love how there isn't any cover here and they don't make you buy drinks (which I especially like since I don't drink, sauf pour de vin des temps en temps). There are people from all over the world in Palma right now, but I think after "Oktoberfest" ends it will clear out a little and mostly locals will be left. The city has a pretty diverse feel to it, though, and reminds me of a mixture between Italy and Miami at parts.
We have orientation tomorrow and I start on Tuesday at my school in Santañy. I am really excited to begin my duty here and start tutoring English, I've been feeling anxious to get started because this has just felt like vacation since I've landed in Spain (besides the stressing about apartment stuff, etc). I think that is all for now, but I'm going to finish posting my pictures of Barcelona and then post some pictures of Palma bella.
